Write a letter to a pen pal about your family rules

Bài viết 1

Dear Anna,

In the previous letter, you asked me about my family rules – a typical Vietnamese family.

Actually, there are some basic rules. The first rule to mention is that junior members have to say “hi” or “goodbye” to the senior when coming or leaving home. When someone enters, we need to greet them also. It shows the respect and behavior manner of greeter. Second, after 11p.m, girls should not be out without relatives that parents trust. Going out at night is always considered dangerous, especially for girls. There are criminals and gangsters somewhere when streets become quiet and deserted. Another rule is children need to share the house work in the late afternoon and in the evening. I, together with my sister, alternately prepare dinners, wash up, and clean the house everyday. Those rules standardize my life.

How about your family rules? Could you tell me about yours?

I am looking forward to seeing your letter.

 Best regards,

 My Le

Dear Hue,

We haven't written to each other for a long time. There are changes in my family so we have had new rules for our family members to follow.

Because my mom has to look after our new-born brother, we have to do the household chores. Moreover, we are not allowed to come home late at night as usual because it may disturb mom and my brother.

For meals, my sister Mary has to prepare them. In the evening, we are not allowed to watch TV too late.

And another thing is that we are not permitted to talk loudly on the phone. And another thing is that my dad doesn't allow us to go out with friends whenever we have spare time.

Busy as we are, we still feel very happy because we can help parents a lot with things around home.

How about you? Are there any changes in your family rules?

Look forward to your reply.

Dear Minh Quan,

Today, I have something interesting things to tell you. It is my family rules. Every family has its own rules. Mine has a few. Firstly, during the school year, I am not allowed to watch TV until I have finished homework. Sometimes my parents let me go out with my friends on Saturday or Sunday, but I don't permit me to come home late after 10 p.m. Secondly, my responsibility is to do the washing and prepare meals 6. Thirdly, my parents don't let me chat with friends by the phone more than thirty minutes. Especially, in my family, everybody have to do share of the household chores.

How is your family rules? I am very happy with my family. My parents really live me and take good care of me.

I am looking forward to your letter.

Dear Jim,

I'm writing to talk about my family rules. It's an interesting topic, isn’t it? It may be obvious that every family has its own rules. Mine has a few, apart from our traditional rules, especially for this school year as I'm in the final year.

First. I’m not allowed to watch TV, nearly no, except when there is a good or interesting movie or when I have finished all my homework and exercises. And my parents never let me to stay up so much late at night.

Next my parents don't permit me to go out with friends without necessary reason; for example, birthdays or funerals.

Besides, I have to take a balanced diet to keep fit for my coming exam. And one more thing I have to keep up is talking on the phone, that is I have to set a limit to my using of the phone.

Do you think I have a lot of rules to abide? Or I have no rights or freedom to do what I want or like?

Tell me about your family rules? It's much fun to hear about them.

Stop now and don't forget to give my regards to your family members.

Best wishes,

Minh Tam.
