A closer look 1 (phần 1 → 7 trang 28-29 SGK Tiếng Anh 7 mới)

1. Choose the phrases that match the pictures below. Write them in the spaces provided.(Chọn những cụm từ phù hợp với các tranh dưới đây. Viết chúng vào chỗ trống cho sẵn.)

2. In pairs, take turns describing the people above. Your partner guesses which picture you are talking about. Then, discuss how you can help the people in these situations.(Làm theo cặp, luân phiên miêu tả những người bên trên. Bạn của bạn đoán xem bạn đang nói về tranh nào. Sau đó thảo luận xem bạn có thể giúp gì được những người này trong các tình huống sau.)

A: These people are lack some of part of body so that they cannot work normally. Guess who they are.

B: Are they disabled people?

A: That’s right. How can we help them?

B: Let me see. Each kinds of disabled people needs its own help. We can visit them and commute with them, or take care of them for a while. I think they need sympathy and love most.

A: Nice. What about those people have to cope with natural disasters?

B: You means people in a flooded area? We can donate food, clothes and money for those area to recover.

A: Những người này bị khuyết mất một phần cơ thể nên họ không thể làm việc bình thường được. Cậu đoán xem họ là ai?

B: Họ có phải người khuyết tật?

A: Đúng rồi. Vậy ta là gì để giúp họ đây?

B: Để tớ xem nhé. Từng người khuyết tật khác nhau cần sự giúp đỡ khác nhau. Chúng mình có thể đến thăm họ, giao tiếp với họ, chăm sóc cho họ nữa. Tớ nghĩ những người này cần sự cảm thông và tình yêu hơn hết.

A: Hay đó. Còn những người đang phải vật lộn với thiên tai thì sao?

B: Ý cậu là những người ở vùng lụt đúng không? Mình có thể ủng hộ quần áo, đồ ăn và tiền cho vùng đó để phục hồi lại.

Traffic jams

Student A: Traffic jams are a big problem for our community.

Student B: What can we do to reduce traffic jams?

Student A: We can help by using public transport.

Rubbish, dirty beach

Student A: There are a lot of rubbish on the beach and it makes the beaches dirty. Many plastic bags, can, glass, bottles and other rubbish.

Student B: What can we do to reduce rubbish and make the beach cleaner?

Student A: We need to put more waste baskets, more board, more slogan at the important places. We can organize a group speacializing in making public understand the value of good environment.

Too many advertisements, graffiti

Student A: The advertisement and graffiti make our city less beautiful. It appears everywhere and many people don't like it.

Student B: What can we do to reduce advertisements and graffiti?

Student A: We need to have a campaign "Say no to advertisements on public walls". We need to make people realize the beauty of our city and how to keep it. We can ask the entreprises not to advertise in this way. We also need to suggest the security guards to help us.

7. Game: STAND UP, SIT DOWN (Trò chơi: Đứng lên, ngồi xuống)

Choose an action for each sound (e.g. sound /g/ is "stand up", sound /k/ is "sit down". In groups of five, one student calls out one word from 4 and the group performs the action according to the sound they hear. The student who is the slowest to do the action correctly will call out the next word.)

Chọn một hành động cho mỗi âm (Ví dụ: âm /g/ là "stand up", âm /k/ là "sit down".) Làm việc theo nhóm năm người, một học sinh đọc lên 1 từ trong phần 4 và các thành viên còn lại thực hiện hành động đó theo âm mà họ nghe được. Học sinh làm chậm nhất sẽ đọc từ tiếp theo.
