A: So, can we smile more to live longer?
B: Yes, that’s absolutely true.
A: Does sleeping in help your recover?
B: No, false. Waking up at the same time is better.
A: Should we eat more fresh fish, like sushi?
B: No. Sushi is great. But we shouldn’t eat too much.
A: And sitting too close to the TV?
B: No, it’s not how close you sit. It’s how long you watch TV for.
A: How about picking up food we drop. It is OK?
B: No, that’s a myth! You shouldn’t eat it, ever!
A: OK, last one. Do vegetarians get less vitamins?
B: No, that’s false. You don’t need meat to get your vitamins.
3. Discuss the following in groups (Thảo luận những câu sau trong nhóm.)
"Eat more fresh fish, like sushi, and you will be healthier". I am really surprised by this sentence because I never eat fresh fish. I think we can only eat fish after we cook it. If we eat fish without cooking, we can have stomachache. I think so but it's not true. It's amazing.
"People who smile more are happier, and they live longer". People have known about and followed this idea for a long time before it was proved. Scientists claim that even fake smiles can trick your brain that you are really happy if you repeat enough times.
"Sleeping in at the weekend helps you recover from a busy week". Somehow it works with few people, but with most of us, it doesn't. Sleeping enough everyday helps us recover better.
" Sitting too close to the TV hurts your eyes". It's true, but the full statement is "Sitting too close to the TV for a long time hurts you eyes". Staying like a couch potato in front of the TV weaken us both in health and mental aspect.
"Pick up food you drop quickly, and it’s safe to eat". This is defenitely one of the most interesting myths. We have 3-s law, 5-s law, which means within 3 or 5 section, you can pick up food that has been dropped before, it's still eatable. But under no situations should you try it because the food has already been dirty.
4. Work in groups. Think of some ideas about health that are true. Then think of some that are false. (Làm theo nhóm. Nghĩ về những ý tưởng về sức khỏe mà đứng thực sự. Sau đó nghĩ về vài cái không đúng.)

3. You can put your weight down by eating less fatty food (False).
Bạn có thể giảm cân bằng cách ăn thực phẩm ít chất béo
4. You will able to swim after eating fish (false)
Bạn sẽ có thể bơi sau khi ăn cá
5. You will be active if you drink enough water (true).
Bạn sẽ năng động nếu bạn uống đủ nước
