MY NEIGHBOURHOOD

I’m back home now. Hoi An was great! My neighbourhood’s very different. It’s in the suburbs of Da Nang City. There are many things I like about it.

It’s great for outdoor activities because it has beautiful parks, sandy beaches, and fine weather. There’s almost everything I need here: shops, restaurants, and markets. Every house has a backyard and a front yard. The people here are incredibly friendly. They’re friendlier than those in many other places! And the food’s very good.

However, there is one thing I dislike about it. Now, there are many modern buildings and offices so the streets are busy and crowded during the day.

Can anyone write about what you like and don’t like about your neighbourhood?

Bây giờ tôi về nhà rồi. Hội An thật tuyệt! Khu phố của tôi rất khác. Nó nằm ở ngoại ô Đà Nẵng. Có nhiều điều về nó mà tôi rất thích.

Nó thật tuyệt để tổ chức các hoạt động ngoài trời. Bởi vì nó có những công viên xinh đẹp, bãi biển đầy cát và thời tiết đẹp. Có hầu hết mọi thứ mà tôi cần ở đây: cửa hàng, nhà hàng, chợ. Mọi nhà đều có một sân sau và sân trước. Mọi người ở đây đều rất thân thiện. Họ thân thiện hơn những người khác ở nhiều nơi khác! Và thức ăn rất ngon.

Tuy nhiên, có một điều mà tôi không thích về nó. Bây giờ, có nhiều tòa nhà và văn phòng hiện đại, vì thế đường phố rất đông đúc và nhộn nhịp suốt ngày.

Bạn có thể viết về điều mà bạn thích và không thích về khu phố của bạn không?

A: Excuse me, can you tell me the way to the bus stop?

B: Sure. Take the first turning on your right. Then go straight. The bus stop is on your left.

A: Thank you very much.

A: Excuse me, can you tell me the way to the square?

B: OK. Go ahead. Pass through the Trung Vuong, the Cao Thang and the Chuong Duong Street. The square is on your left.

B: Thanks.

5. Work in pairs. Ask and answer questions about the way to get to the places in your town/in your village/near your school. (Làm việc theo cặp. Hỏi và trả lời những câu hỏi về đường đến các nơi trong thị trấn của em/ trong làng em/ gần trường bạn)

1. A : Excuse me , where is the stadium?

      B: Go straight. It's in the corner of the street.

      A :Thank you. And where is the grocery store?

      B : First go ahead. Until you see a park, turn left. The grocery store is opposite the park.

2. A : Excuse me, can you show me the way to the nearest supermarket?

B : let me see. The vincomerce is about 400 metters from here and so is the city supermarket. Which one do you want to go?

A.Tell me both, please.

B : Ok. To go to the Vincomerce, go ahead then turn left at the post office. It's on the right. The city supermarket is a little difficult. You must take the third turning in your right and then cross the street. Go straight for about 2 minutes and it's opposite you.
