Customs and traditions: How they have changed?

Hướng dẫn dịch:

1. Hình thành các nhóm 3 hay 4 người. Quyết định một phong tục hoặc truyền thống Việt Nam mà bạn muốn nghiên cứu.

2. Từng cá nhân phỏng vấn một người lớn tuổi hơn (ông bà hoặc hàng xóm) về phong tục và truyền thống này.

3. Sau đó phỏng vấn một người trẻ tuổi hom (mẹ bạn hoặc giáo viên của bạn) để xem phong tục hay truyền thống này ngày nay có thay đổi không.

4. Trở lại nhóm của bạn, so sánh và kết hợp các kết quả nghiên cứu. Sau đó cùng nhau lên kế hoạch cho bài thuyết trình. Quyết định ai sẽ thuyết trình mỗi phần.

5. Thuyết trình trước lớp.

As everyone knows, Vietnam is a country that has diversity custom and traditon. We have many customs and traditions that have been inherited and maintained for a long time. However, some customs and traditons has been disappeared or changed in recent years. Today, we’ll present about “ The change of making Chung cake in Vietnamese family”

Firstly, making Chung cake is a tradition that has existed since the time of Hung king until today. Chung cake represents the ground- where the human live, grow plants, raise catlle and product. Chung cake includes: sticky rice, beans, meat. My grandmothers said: “All Vietnamese family used to stay together to make Chung cake and heat a big pot to boil the cake through the night. It’s very happy”. Making together in order to hope for a healthy, happy, wealthy new year.

But now, this tradition is increasingly eroded. The life is more morden, people is busier. They don’t have time to stay together to make Chung cake anymore. They often buy prepared Chung cake in the store instead of homemade Chung cake. One of other reason is that they don’t know how to make Chung cake. Fewer and fewer famlies make Chung cake. They may forget the meaning of making Chung cake together in Tet holiday. My mother still try to maitain this tradition because she doesn’t want the children forget this meaningful tradition.

Making Chung cake express the grattiude to our ancestor and make Tet holidy meaningful. If one day it is dissapear, it will be a terribe thing that no one want to think about
