1. LISTEN AND READ (NGHE VÀ ĐỌC)

Bài nghe:

Phong’s mum: Dad and I are going to the opera tonight and we won’t be home until 9 p.m. You’ll have to eat dinner alone. There’s some food for you in the fridge.

Phong:            OK. Like what, Mum?

Phong’s mum: Some meat with tofu and some fried vegetables. I’m afraid there isn’t any bread left, but you can have noodles instead.

Phong:            Er, but I usually have rice, Mum.

Phong’s mum: There’s some rice left from lunch. Just warm it up.

Phong:            All right, Mum. What is there to drink? Phong’s mum: There’s milk, juice, or mineral water. Phong:            How much milk is there?

Phong’s mum: Oh, I forgot ... There isn’t any milk left. I’ll buy some tomorrow. You can have some orange juice instead. How many cartons do you want?

Phong:            One ... No, wait, two please.

Mẹ Phong: Bố và mẹ định đi xem o-pê-ra tối nay và sẽ về nhà sau 9 giờ tối. Con sẽ phải ăn tối một mình. Có một ít thức ăn trong tủ lạnh đó.

Phong: Dạ được mẹ. Có những gì hả mẹ?

Mẹ Phong: Một ít thịt với đậu phụ và một ít rau xào. Mẹ e rằng không còn bánh mì nữa, nhưng con có thể ăn mì thay vào đó.

Phong: Ơ, nhưng con thường ăn cơm mà mẹ.

Mẹ Phong: Còn một ít cơm từ bữa trưa. Con chỉ cần hâm nóng thôi.

Phong: Được rồi mẹ à. Có gì để uống không mẹ?

Mẹ Phong: Có sữa, nước hoa quả hoặc nước khoáng.

Phong: Có bao nhiêu sữa thế mẹ?

Mẹ Phong: Ồ mẹ quên mất... Hết sữa rồi. Mẹ sẽ mua một ít vào ngày mai. Thay vào đó con có thể uống nước cam. Con muốn mấy hộp?

Phong: Một ạ ... Khoan, mẹ đợi chút, hai hộp ạ.

A: What is your favorite dish, B?

B: I love eating everything about fish, specially fish-fried with tomato sauce.

A: Hmm Yummy! Can you cook that dish yourself?

B: Yes, of course. I could be the best cook in my family!

A: How often do you cook fish?

B: 4-5 times a week. Fish is very good for our health. Besides, it's delicious and easy to cook.

4. Listen and repeat the adjectives. (Nghe và lặp lại các tính từ.)

5. Game: WHAT'S YOUR FAVOURITE FOOD AND DRINK? (ĐỒ ĂN THỨC UỐNG ƯA THÍCH CỦA BẠN LÀ GÌ?)

Work in groups. One student describes his favourite food or drink. The rest of the group tries to guess which food or drink it is.(Làm việc theo nhóm. Một bạn học sinh miêu tả loại đồ ăn hoặc thức uống ưa thích. Các bạn còn lại trong nhóm có gắng đoán xem đó là đồ ăn hoặc thức uống gì.)

A: It's my favourite drink. It's a little sour, but it's also sweet.

B: Is it lemonade?

A: Yes, it is. / No, try again

 

A: Guess my favorite dish. It's a kind of seafood, and it is cooked with a lot of water.

B: Is it eel soup?

A: Right. It is really delicious, isn't it?

 

A: My favorite drink is quite weird to you. It's made of fruits and ice, sometimes it has whole milk or yogurt.

B: Hmm.. There are a lot of drink using fruits, ice and milk. Is it smoothie?

A: Whoaa, that's right.
