Nick: Who is your favourite film star, Dad?

Dad: Tom Hanks, of course.

Nick: Tom Hanks? Who is he?

Dad: He is one of the most famous and richest actors in Hollywood.

Nick: Really? Has he won any awards?

Dad: Yes, he has won the Oscar for Best Actor twice.

Nick: Two Oscars? Amazing! He must be very handsome!

Dad:    No, he isn’t. He isn’t an attractive actor, compared to other actors in Hollywood. However, most critics say that he is one of the best actors.

Nick: What kind of roles does he often play?

Dad:  He often plays serious roles such as a soldier in Saving Private Ryan, or a lawyer who has AIDS in Philadelphia. He also appears in many other entertaining films such as Bachelor Party, The Man With One Red Shoe, etc.

Nick: Can you recommend one of his best films?

Dad: Of course, You’ve Got Mail. It’s one of the biggest comedies of the 1990s.

Bố: Là một trong những diễn viên nổi tiếng và giàu có nhất ở Hollywood đó.

Nick: Thật chứ? Ông ấy đã giành được giải thưởng nào chưa?

Bố: Có chứ, ông đã hai lần giành giải Oscar cho Nam diễn viên xuất sắc nhất.

Nick: Hai giải Oscar? Con ngạc nhiên đó! Ông ấy nhất định là rất đẹp trai!

Forrest Gump - Psychological Film - Tom Hanks

The plot: What happens in the film? How is the film? (gripping/moving/hilarious) What about the ending?

It is a moving film having a sad ending; The film is about life of a low-IQ but kind man and his surprising path.

Other aspects of the film, the acting, the music, the special effects, the visuals, etc.

Tom Hanks does not act. He is Forrest Gump. There are not special effects but it serves the viewers with peaceful American country when Forrest was a child and the logical development of actors' emotions.

Critics’ reviews, your overall opinion.

"Forrest Gump" was criticized as a classic film and you should try someday.

I am not really interested in watching film but there is a film that I decided to watch more than twice times. It is "Forrest Gump". It is a psychological film with the acting of Tom Hanks.

The film is about life of a man called Forrest Gump. Forrest does not have father and always be ridiculed by others because of his mental illness. Forrest knows that and the way he reacts is unique and lenient. He has 4 people with strong affects over his life: his mother, Jenny, Bubba and Captain Dan.

The acting is smooth and I cannot find any actors that could decribed Forrest better than Tom. The music and the visuals both are carefully considered in order to satisfy viewers.

It is criticized as a classic film in the world and you should try someday.
